BUKRUK is a 10-day Thai urban arts festival supported by the European Union, featuring local and international artists. Workshops, public wall paintings, art exhibitions, artist talks, animation nights, projection mapping, and a music festival are all part of the BUKRUK experience.
As part of BUKRUK'S organisation, KUOZ developed the art direction, visual language and brand identity.BURKUK means 'invasion' in Thai, a word that symbolises the project's energy. We designed a mascot to channel this concept, inspired by old Japanese monster movies. We developed a simple colour palette based on electric green and solid black, paired with a rugged typographic system. This enabled us to create clear and distinct messaging throughout the collateral, such as maps, street signs, billboards, and the website and app.
